As I've mentioned before, when we moved into this house, we arrived with grand plans of what we were going to do when funds allowed. Nearly 2 years on and with no clear plan of when this will be exactly...... I felt that I needed to get my act together and finally organise some much needed storage for the bedroom. And where better to look than the world's largest furniture retailer, Ikea.
In our previous house, we got our local carpenter to build wonderful built in storage, but the 'built in' element meant that we had to leave it there on departure and subsequently we arrived to our new abode without any storage at all, apart from 2 clothes stands that I'd manage to acquire when the local GAP store closed down.
Prior to moving in, the previous owner had kindly asked if we would like her old pine wardrobe, which we have been using now for nearly 2 years. As grateful as I was to have at least one place to throw things into, the doors have never shut properly and the hanging space was very small so in fairness, it's never quite done the job.
