Dressing Room

This room was in need of an update and direction. The built in storage was in good order so it made sense to incorporate these into the design concept. The wardrobes featured on 2 sides of the room and gave wonderful storage but they were quite overpowering for the space. By painting these the same colour as the walls it allowed them to successfully blend with the rest of the room and feel less dominant. All the door furniture was changed to solid brass with diamond-cut knurled handle detailing giving a fantastic tactile feel to the storage. Introducing an accent wall of statement floral design and beautiful parquet flooring took the attention away from the dominant built in features to make the room feel far more balanced and welcoming.

The brief was to accommodate overnight guests from time to time so we introduced mustard velvet sofa bed which gives a touch of elegance to the dressing room. This still allowed space for a marble topped wash stand in front of the window to act as a useful vanity space.
